Outbound allows you to select from five different channels, or mediums, to message users.

Each of these mediums will require you to setup corresponding providers. To setup specific providers, you can visit your settings > Providers tab or read more under the Campaign & Provider tabs on the left hand nav bar of these docs.
You can create multiple versions of a campaign, and send each version to a percentage of the campaign's targeted user segment.
Processing a user through Outbound involves running each user through all the filters you have setup for each campaign, once this is done, Outbound sends the message to users who passed the filters. If a campaign has multiple variants setup, Outbound will send a specific variant to each user depending on the variant's allocation. The number of users who do not pass filters will be shown on the reporting page.
